Most will be certain that he has spent his lifetime behind a protective wall of success. Little was it known, that behind his charismatic looks, once a homeless and broken lifestyle haunted him.
Matt's story began with two very opposite influences in his family. His mother, after her divorce raised little Matt alone. Selling the family restaurant to pursue her dream of becoming an attorney was not enough, she had to work another two jobs. She eventually became an attorney and managed her way to the bench as a judge in Texas. Matt admire her so much and live by her example. "My mother has always been my role model. As a child I watched her go after her dreams despite a lot of challanges and hardships, she really is my hero," said Matt proudly.
His father, unfortunately, chose a more troublesome path. When he was about 6 years old, he watched his father got to prison for murder. After his release, he drown himself in alcohol. He ended committing suicide when Matt was 13. "While it's something I don't talk about very often," Matt said, "I never shy away from it because it's part of my history."
